Pre Requisites:
•    It’s very important to Root & install Clock Work Mod Recovery in your Galaxy Tab 2 P5113 Android device before proceeding. You need to check whether the model number of your tablet is P5113 or not from the path “Settings > About Tablet” where you will get to see the model number as P5113. If there is any other model then it’s not recommended to proceed.
•    Data in your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 should be backed up with the help of below steps. Don’t use PC Suites like KIES to back up the data as it won’t recognize the device on the custom ROM firmware.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
•    Install the appropriate Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 drivers (32-bit | 64-bit) in your computer so as to facilitate smoother firmware installation process.
•    Battery left in your Tab 2 P5113 should be a minimum of 50% so as to ensure that ti doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
•    Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your Galaxy Tab 2 from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” as it will help connect your tab to the computer in this mode.
Procedure to Update Galaxy Tab 2 P5113 with Clean ROM Custom ROM Firmware:
•    Download the Clean ROM Package (Alternate Link) from here to your computer. Once downloaded connect your device to the computer and place the downloaded Zip file in your device’s SD Card.
•    Up next, disconnect the device and turn off your Tab 2 so that it can be then entered in the recovery mode. The recovery mode in Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P5113 can be entered by pressing the Volume down rocker key + power button at the same time while the device is turned Off. If the device boots up in the normal mode, you need to re try the process of the entering the device into the recovery mode.
•    In recovery mode, select “Wipe data” and Clear the Cache by selecting the respective options. Once done, you need to select “install zip from sdcard” > “choose zip from sdcard” > select “tab210CleanRom-v1.0.zip” which you have placed in the device and select “Yes” with the help of volume rocker keys and power button to confirm the same.
•    Once you select the file, you now need to wait for the file to get installed. Once done, the device will either restart automatically or will land up in the recovery mode screen. In recovery mode screen, you now need to select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then reboot the system by selecting the option with the help of volume rocker key & power button.
Tip: Just in case if your Tab 2 doesn’t boot up or start up, you then will have to re follow the above process from the start.

Galaxy Note N7000 – Steps to Install Official XXLQ2 ICS 4.0.3 Firmware

While Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 users are still awaiting the launch of Premium Suite Download, Samsung is now in a haste to first roll out the ICS Android 4.0.3 firmware version across all the countries. In the latest, Samsung rolled out the latest version of ICS 4.0.3 dubbed as XXLQ2 firmware for its United Kingdom & Ireland users which is one of the stable versions of ICS as of now. •    Disable / Close all the security firewall tools and antivirus programs running in your phone and computer as these tools generally interrupt the process of firmware update.
Procedure to Update Galaxy Note N7000 with ICS XXLQ2 Android 4.0.3 Firmware:
•    Download Galaxy Note N7000 XXLQ2 ICS 4.0.3 Firmware Package from here to your computer along with odin. Open Odin in your computer and turn off your device so that it can be entered in the download mode.
•    Download Mode in Galaxy Note can be entered by Download mode can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Up key to continue entering the Download Mode.
•    Connect your Note to computer with the help of USB cable while keeping Odin opened. After connecting, the ID : COM block in odin will turn Yellow which will suggest that all the drivers have been successfully installed.
Note: If the ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check with two things which are mentioned below,
• Install the USB Drivers in your computer &
• Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
•    Click on “PDA” to select “N7000XXLQ2_N7000XXLPT_N7000XEULP4_HOME.tar.md5”. Once selected, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once the update is finished, the device will be restarted. Disconnect the device and turn off your Note so that it can be entered in the Recovery Mode.
•    Recovery mode in Galaxy Note can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Now, a Warning message will be shown when you need to press the Volume Down key to continue entering the Recovery Mode.
•    In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.

How to Update Verizon Wireless Galaxy Nexus with MIUI Custom ROM Firmware

Samsung smartphone powered by Verizon Wireless recently got an all new ICS Android 4.0.4 IMM76K update and now in this article we will be checking out on how you can easily install the latest MIUI custom ROM firmware. After Cyanogen Mod 9 firmware, this MIUI custom ROM firmware is the second most loved firmware and also supports wide range of devices. Caution: This update should only be applied to the Verizon powered Galaxy Nexus device and not to Galaxy Nexus International edition which is I9250 or else it may even brick the device.

Express Pre Requisites:
•    First up you need to ensure that your Galaxy Nexus device is rooted and installed with the Custom Recovery image. With the help of Galaxy Nexus One Click Tool, you can easily root and install the custom recovery image.

•    From the path “Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging” you need to ensure that the USB Debugging Option is ticked. If it prompts for anything, you need to select on “Ok”. After this, ensure that the minimum charge left in your Galaxy Nexus should be 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.

•    Last but not the least, you need to ensure that all the Security suites installed in your device are disabled as these tools generally tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.

Guide to Update Galaxy Nexus powered by Verizon Wireless with MIUI Custom ROM:
•    Download the MIUI Custom ROM Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer and place this zip file in your device’s memory.
•    Disconnect the device and turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. You first need to enter the device in the boot loader mode and then from there you can boot your device in the recovery mode.
•    Boot loader mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Up + Volume Down and then simultaneously press the Power button till you see the boot loader mode screen. Just in case if the phone boots up in the normal mode, then you need to again try entering the device in the boot loader mode.
•    In boot loader, mode, you need to select the option of “recovery mode” with the help of Volume rocker key and press the power button to confirm the selection. Now, in recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the “MIUI Custom Firmware Package” which you have placed in your device. The whole process of this update will take 3 – 4 minutes.
Note: Just in case if the device gets into the boot loop mode or if the device doesn’t turn ON then you will have to again follow the instructions from the start.
